Nov. 15th 1880 Hon Commissioner Indian Affairs Sir, I have the honor to request permission to purchase in open Market at the lowest Cash price Wagons, Harnesses, Plows, Axes, Mattocks, hoes, Shovels, and other farming implements for the use and benefit of the Piutes and Bannock Indians here at the Yakama Agency. These articles will be needed as Early as the first of Feb. 1881 that they may be put properly and profitably at work. Fifteen hundred Dollars are No in the hand of the Agent to make Such purchase.
