Cambridge February 10  1873    Dear Mr. Underwood,    It is quite clear to me that the word which puzzled you in Allston   s poem should be find not wind.  
        The meaning is,    the tide, that had been chained in ice, finds motion again.       Yours truly    H.W.L.
