November the 4th/63 Dear Eliza, I sopose you have bin looking for a letter from me for som time and i would have writen sooner but I have bin wating for Mr Brewer to go back/ he cam here the next day after I receivd your letter of the 28th of September and he said he would go home and St. Louis in about a week and so i thaught I would send by him and when he went he dit not let me know untill the morning he stardet and then I had not time to write so I thaught I would write as soon as I could for he only started this morning back side - wish he could be in it himself but I sopose he is very well satisfied where he is and I don t begrudge it to him/ I would stay home as long as I could while I have a chance/ When you see him remember me to him/ I must close now and I hope this may find you all well as this leaves me and may God bless you all and that the time may soon com when we all shel injoy the society of each other again give my love to all your affectionate inside - left and this may get thair as soon as he dos/ I sopose you have had a good long talk with the Col by this time and he told you how we are situated here and I get along I wish I could have went along with him/ I want to see the children so much but I sopose I will have to wait untill my time is out/ we have our winter quarters all pud up and are fixed very comfortable for the winter is we can only stay here to injoy them, I go to Town every Sunday to church and Sunday scool wich makes me feal quite at home/ I was last Sunday in the Epicopal Sunday scool and it was very nice thair was a little girl about the sice of Lizza played the inside - right Malodian and one of the hymns was little drops of water it soundet so prity and no one but the children sang and thay have a bible clase which I atand nothing but soldirs you nead not sent me any clothing when Mr. Brewer comes back here I have a plenty/ I have drawen me another drefs Coat/ it is a very one one/ i wish I had it at h
