The girls and boys who were in School with me when I was a boy have the greater part of them passed away to the Spirit land; and the Members of the Church, with Whom I used to take Sweet Council, have about all joined the Church Triumphant. What a Constant march to the Spirit world there is with us. we are in the journey and getting well along on the Road to the resting place for the body. Happy will it be, if we can have Eternal Rest for the Soul when we lay down the armor here. Every letter I have Recd from you and others at the Agency Since we left (and we have Recd many) have Comforted our hearts, as we have learned of your general and I will Say your universal prosperity. I had a few moments leisure and I thought I would Signify my whereabouts Yours Truly James H. Wilbur U.S. Indian Agent written sideways in the margin Love to all Indians and whites JHW
