Paducah Jan 22, 1865 Dear Eliza  I thought I would write you a few lines hoping this may find you all well I am feeling better then I have bin for som time I took som medicen and it don me good I think I shel feal better after this, Lieut Livsey  Livesay, James M.  is going to Indiannaplis Indianna with som prisners and when he returnes he said he would stop and see you and if you take a notion to sent Will  he had better com with him he will take care of him and when he comes I wish you would sent my specticles with him I lost mine I had with me you have never writen to me wether you have receivd that muny I sent with Col Pease but I sopose you have got it by this time 
        I know nothing more to write at pressent I hope you will write as often as you can and if you can let me know when Will is comming so I can look for him the boys are all well remember then to the little ones your affectionate husband   J.
