SERENADE: Yesterday x27;s Songs in Tune with Tomorrow The Class of 1990 Proudly Presents The 79th Annual FRESHMAN GLEE 1987 Freshman Glee began in 1909 when the freshman class challenged the other classes to a song competition. The challenge was to have each class compose songs with original lyrics and perform them at the end of only one week of rehearsal. The idea caught on and since then Glee has become a tradition distinct to Willamette. It is with great pride in this tradition as well as in Willamette itself that we present to you 1987 Freshman Glee. Freshman Glee Program 1987 Welcome Alma Mater quot;Ode to Willamette quot; quot;Goodbye, Willamette U. quot; quot;Serenade to a New Beginning quot; quot; You Gotta Sing quot; quot; The Only One quot; Entertainment Glee Managers: Angie Crane, Andy Dorsch, Rob Patridge, Cindy Ziel 1987 Glee Committee Class of 1987 Class of 1988 Class of 1989 Class of 1990 T.LU. Musical composition and lyric scoring is based on originality, coordination and adaptibility to the Glee theme, and overall impact of the song. Vocal rendition is judged on expression, tone quality, and musicality. Marching and formation is judged on precision, originality, and total effect. The judges award points for each of the three areas using an established point system. The class accumulating the most points will be the winner of Freshman Glee; the losing class will walk the millstream for more marching practice on Blue Monday. In our work as Glee Managers, a new and challenging experience faced us. In our effort to make Glee not just a show but a production, we had many people supporting us, advising us, and assisting us. To these people we are grateful. The utmost of our appreciation goes to Steve Fukuchi and the rest of the ASWU Officers, as well as Jeannette Pai, Tony Noble, Katy Demory, and the 1987 Class Managers. Without these people Glee would not be the spectacular performance we believe it will be. Special Thanks to: Alumni Office U.C. Staff Holli Davenport Willamette Maintenance T.I.U.
