Vigsburg Febuary 2nd/64 Dear Eliza I would have writen to you before but I dit not have time I have bin very buissy since we com here we arived here last Saturday and camped out on the bank of the river without any tents and moved out of the city to day about 3 miles in the rear of the city and tomorrow morning we have to march in to wards Jackson Miss, about 40 miles east we had a very plessent trip this time on the boat but I think we will have a very ruf time of it from this on, it is now late at night and I must close and have to walk out to camp yet which is 3 miles So good night and may God bless you all and keep you in good health as this leaves me at pressent I hope I may soon here from you your affectionate husband J.
