Tenafly, New Jersey June 26  Dear Miss Price  To answer your questions briefly. 1. My habits of life are regular. I have been engaged ten years on the History of Women Suffrage. I begin work immediately after breakfast  amp; continue all day if not interrupted, pacing up  amp; down the piazza ?  amp; ?, with five minute naps on the sofa. I go at it just as a laboring man goes to his daily toil. 
        I am not a person of moods but write with more ease  amp; pleasure at one time than another. 2nd I enjoy both solitude and society. The former for work the latter for recreation. I never did give much time to society but am alone in my country home much of the time. 3rd I send you a printout description of my surroundings  amp; library. 4th My subjects for writing have been chiefly assignments on 
        on  cut in letter  on women, free  same cut  popular articles for magazines on current events in the North American Review on    Dance,       What has Christianity done for women   , etc. 5th I read generally for some special purpose ? my favorite author for the time being is the one who has the information I want. I do revise  amp; rewrite everything I print,  amp; have no patience with the careless preparation 
        of most women as speakers  amp; writers. I am very fond of playing ?  amp; whist, live music,  amp; to drive about with a reliable old horse. My themes of conversation depend upon my companions. I like to talk with people on those subjects of which they know most in order to glean information. I am a good listener. I am most interested in those questions that benefit mankind,    cooperative housekeeping       the labor problem       liberal religion       woman   s rights    the education of children.
