Candor N.Y. June 24, 1868 The following are the conditions upon which Rev. N. Rounds. D.D. agrees to accept of the Presidency of the Willamette University un-der the patronage of the Oregon Conference of the M.E. Church in the state of Oregon. 1st He is to receive a salary of fifteen hundred per annum ( 1500) payable in American coin, his salary to commence on the 14th day of this present month (June). 2nd The moving expenses of his family, consisting of him self wife  amp; five children are to be paid by the Board of Trustees of the University 3rd He is to have the free occupancy of a suitable house properly furnished with Cabinet furniture  amp; a cook stove. 4th His children are to receive tuition in all the solid branches of science taught in the Institution free of charge, so long as he remains in the Presidency.
