Athletic Interest Surveys: A Necessary Tool in an Institution's Title IX Compliance Tool Belt

It describes controversy that surrounded the 2005 model survey and the Department of Education Office of Civil Right’s 2010 Clarification withdrawing the 2005 model survey. The author argues that surveys are usually a necessary tool to prove compliance, and describes how athletic departments with football as a sport should use an athletic interest survey.
