Abstract
"In a future where climate change has rendered Earth an uninhabitable wasteland, you play as one of a small team of scientists hired to genetically modify the humanity to survive (and work) better in space. Dispatched to the planet of Circadia to use its mysterious resilient properties in your research, the team is quickly left stranded when your surroundings become hostile. Trapped on a planet where every living organism is connected by a fungal alien hive mind hell-bent on destroying you and your technology, you have only one option left; to put your own experimental research into action and become a part of Circadia. That is, if you can manage not to lose yourself in the process…”
Circadian Wilds is a visual development project for a science-fiction exploration game that explores themes of choice, change, and human nature on an alien planet. The work takes the form of environmentally focused concept art and a field journal of alien plants.
