The article examines the development of “Mixed Martial Arts” (MMA) competition, including its origin and events that led to state regulation. Next, the article analyzes some of the legal issues surrounding the MMA world, such as the implications of tort law, contractual disputes, and the adoption of the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts Combat. Finally, the article discusses whether MMA is too dangerous to be considered a sport.en_US
