Abstract

The All Nite Cafe is an installation that includes a series of ceramic vessels and watercolor drawings and that is modeled after a diner or dive bar. Though the piece stands alone, visually, it also serves as a relational environment. When "open" visitors can sit together over real food and drink, highlighting human interaction and connection as equally important to the storytelling, world-building, and object making that are also central to the piece.
