Abstract
Description
The subjects pose in front of a painted backdrop. They are positioned on chairs and stools. These portrait arrangements, as well as the background, reappear in many of the Paulus photos. That Otto Paulus consistently uses this and one other background attests to his professionalism, and perhaps to his need to pay for his Willamette education.
