Erik and Nelson Sandgren offer back-to-back introductory talks at their joint exhibition. The video conveys particularly well the flavor of Nelson's gallery talks as he describes his basic approach to watercolor, visual art and painting with humor and succinct clarity - in part as response to audience commentary and questions. The exhibition "Paintings by Nelson Sandgren and Erik Sandgren" comprised their work in the medium of watercolor and ran thru 8 January 1987. The Salishan Gallery was a coveted venue for Northwest artists for over two decades. Salishan Lodge hospitality for exhibiting artists and guests was legendary in an architectural setting designed by John Storrs which incorporated significant works by Northwest artists throughout. Exhibition flyer and related Salishan exhibitions are included in PNAA holdings for Nelson and Olive Sandgren.Educational use is permitted without permission.
