Seid, Saorsa2026-04-292026-04-292026-04-16https://hdl.handle.net/10177/41395Council of the Gods is a pitch deck for an animated series set in Ancient Egypt and is about the story of a pair of mummy siblings who upon discovering that souls are going missing from the Hall of Truth find out that they are being sacrificed to Apep, an ancient being of chaos. It is up to them to unite the four regions in order to awaken Nehbukau, the only being who can defeat the chaos serpent. The core theme of the series is unity in diversity. The timeline Council of the Gods takes place during the time where the gods are passing down their roles to the mortals creating four distinct regions. During this transition they also passed down the responsibility of holding a council so that the four regions could be unified in leading the future of Egypt. The target audience for this series is a PG age range similar to shows like Lego Ninjago or movies like The Prince of Egypt. The genre is Educational Fantasy and the target demographic is for Egyptians, ancient Egyptian mythology fans and people who enjoy stories about unity. This pitch deck was made in Google Slides with all of the artwork including the characters and backgrounds aside from two acrylic paintings and were made digitally using the drawing software iArtbook. The animatic included in the pitch deck used additional editing in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Council of the Gods takes a lot of inspiration from Egyptian mythology while pulling influence from Chinese fantasy dramas for the interplay of multiple realms with magic. The four regions are inspired by the Pyramids, Nile River, Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt with the roles pulling from a mixture of Egyptian mythology/culture, ninja from Ninjago and mermaids from Sofia the First. I plan to use this deck to pitch the series to an animation studio and be an entry point to visual development in the animation industry.iArtbook, Google Slides, Acrylic on canvasPitch Deck, Ancient Egypt, Animated Series, Unity, Visual DevelopmentSaorsa Seid 2026
