Description
Copy of a letter that President Francis Hoyt wrote to Alvin Waller in 1857. Hoyt expressed his frustration with the lack of funding at the University to provide for necessary teaching materials including a library. Hoyt made his frustration with the Board of Trustees apparent and expressed his desire to immediately leave the presidency. Hoyt ultimately stayed on as President for three more years
