Abstract
Description
This fragment of a low-relief sculpture was discovered within the enclosure wall of the south forecourt of the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir-el-Bahari in Upper Egypt. It depicts a typical processional scene and probably ended up at Deir-el-Bahari as fill for a compound wall, since sandstone is not found in the region.
