dc.descriptionThe Washington state photographer Mary Randlett is known for her photographs of Pacific Northwest artists in their studios. In the summer of 1972, she visited many Oregon painters and sculptors in Portland and the Willamette Valley, taking photographs such as this one that have become important documents of Northwest art history. Randlett is also a noted landscape photographer, and one of her landscapes is on view in the Sponenburgh Gallery at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art.
