dc.descriptionPaul Missal earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art (1965) and his Master of Fine Arts degree at Yale (1967). Since 1972, he has been professor of painting, drawing, and design at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (formerly the Museum Art School). Long associated with Blackfish Gallery, the artists' cooperative in Portland, he has exhibited widely in the Northwest and elsewhere, completed several mural commissions, served as exhibition juror on a number of occasions, and generally been an active participant in the art community in Oregon.
