dc.descriptionConstance Fowler earned her bachelor's degree At Washington State College, Pullman, and her MFA at the University of Oregon. She taught at Willamette University from 1935 to 1947 and then at Albion College, Michigan, until her retirement in the 1960's. She was a significant figure in Pacific Northwest art in the period 1935-1947. With the assistance of her sister and niece, she donated her papers, some of her artworks, and some artwork by other artists, to Willamette University in 1994.
